Narrowed down to one of these two. Let me know your favourite:
Aurelia May
Merryn May
Thanks!

Merryn

Goldfishmountainclimber · 13/06/2022 16:52

Aurelia
I think it’s a beautiful name.

claudetto · 13/06/2022 17:13

Merryn is great! Merryn May is a bit twee, but middle names aren’t often used and I much prefer Merryn to Aurelia.

lljkk · 13/06/2022 17:15

How do you say Aurelia? I say it "ow-RAY-lee-uh"
Merryn is fine, too. (MURR-in?, MARE-in?, mare-IN? )

Blowyourowntrumpet · 13/06/2022 17:18

Neither

WildCherryBlossom · 13/06/2022 17:18

I like both names but I love the alliteration of Merryn May so I would choose that.

Awrite · 13/06/2022 17:22

Merryn. Definitely.

pinklavenders · 13/06/2022 18:05

Ok, if I had to choose, Aurelia.

What name do you prefer OP?

pitterypattery00 · 13/06/2022 18:12

Love Merryn, was on our list (spelt Merrin).

I know a toddler Aurelia - when she was born it was the first time I'd heard the name. It looks pretty but I find it a bit of a mouthful, too frilly for me. But it works as a middle name.

How about Merryn Aurelia May

GobbledyGeek · 13/06/2022 18:22

Merryn May is lovely!

ChairPose9to5 · 13/06/2022 18:25

Merryn! By far.

Aurelia is awful, like oh really ,(ah)

PinkSyCo · 13/06/2022 18:31

Don’t like Aurelia. Merryn is lovely though and goes fine with May.

IWasFunBeforeMum · 13/06/2022 18:33

Why do so many people do this on here! Would you put an outfit choice in the hands of strangers? No, but you will an important thing like baby name. Just pick what YOU like!!

Nadal · 13/06/2022 18:34

Merryn May sounds very Marvel Comics. I like it.

MissyCooperismyShero · 13/06/2022 18:36

I have never known how to pronounce Aurelia and I still don't with so many different suggestions for pronunciation in this thread alone. I couldn't stand the faffage of that - so Merryn from me.

12Thorns · 13/06/2022 18:36

Merryn

Merryn without the May

Tryagain2020 · 13/06/2022 18:46

daisypond · 13/06/2022 16:07

I don’t like Aurelia at all, so Merryn.

May as a first name is beautiful.

StaunchMomma · 13/06/2022 19:10

Aurelia is a bit too close to Amelia, of which is really common at the moment.

I prefer Merryn but it makes me think Mirin (you know, the sweet stuff on sushi rice?) and it sounds a bit off with May.

Any chance of us voting on the options you've already cut?😁

Merryn Aurelia May sounds lovely 👌

Aurelia May, Merryn isn't very pretty

Exactly the same here. No idea how it's pronounced.
