Olive

Theodora

Staynow · 11/06/2022 20:26

Olive or Fern. I think Theodora sounds horrible and makes me think dopey dora.

Inthesameboatatmo · 11/06/2022 20:28

Theodora definitely

User6761 · 11/06/2022 20:47

I much prefer Olive or Fern. Really dislike Theodora - but I think Thea is ok.

Hazelnuttree · 11/06/2022 20:50

Fern is beautiful. Non frilly nature name. Soft but strong. Cute for a little girl. Suits a grown woman. Underused. Olive feels quite trendy to me and a bit to close to the very popular Olivia. Theodora is a bit fussy for my taste. I do like both Thea and Dora though, but Fern is definitely my favourite.

Fern 😊

PraiseBee · 11/06/2022 20:55

Theodora all the way

DoodleBelle · 11/06/2022 20:56

I like Theodora best but think it is quite different in style to Fern and Olive…it also depends if you want sibling names to match so think about what style goes best with your first daughters name perhaps? Would also watch out for any repeating initials as it can cause issues with two Miss F Bloggs receiving post etc.

Olive

Theodora 100% so many potential nicknames. I think Theodora Fern sounds nice as first and middle

It's my number one name so I hate seeing it here in case it gets too popular 😂

Velvetbee · 11/06/2022 20:59

Fern

TheVolturi · 11/06/2022 21:00

I don't like Olive. It's basically Clive with part of one letter missing! The others are nice. I prefer Fern.

Cookingthedinner · 11/06/2022 21:00

I’m biased as I have a Fern. We get so many lovely compliments on her name.
however, I love Olive as well (dh not so much) and I like Theadora over Theodora as I really like Thea for short.

SmiledWtherisingsun · 11/06/2022 22:06

Olive. 100 %

WeasilyPleased · 11/06/2022 22:11

Fern. Very pretty.

Olive - cute as hell!

Fern.

Fern

Olive I like a lot, my grandma was called
Olive. I didn't have the guts to use it myself and went for the far more popular Olivia instead as I felt it was a more current version. Admittedly Olivia is VERY popular, but I think popular names are popular for a reason myself.....

Theodora is a fabulous name too. I know one, she goes by Ted. Personally I prefer Thea but technically that is not an abbreviation of Theodora or a 'proper' full version of a name so we didn't go for it ourselves not that we are massive name snobs.

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 11/06/2022 23:01

I find Fern a bit weak. And I'm not a massive fan of the fern plant so that would put me off....
