Not if you’re going to ask like that 😁

iseeyou1234 · 09/06/2022 21:41

WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?

ofwarren · 09/06/2022 21:45

Eden
Noa/Noah

That's a tough brief!

RosesAndHellebores · 09/06/2022 21:48

Pleaseandthankyou is a good name. I think its somewhere in Genesis.

SevenSteps · 09/06/2022 21:49

Isaac
Elisha

SevenSteps · 09/06/2022 21:52

Ignore didn't read the unisex bit

MerryMarigold · 09/06/2022 21:54

Unisex only? I don't know many/ any. I suppose place names?

Sodom, possibly too male sounding?
Gomorrah, too MCU?
Neither of those start with the forbidden letters at least

HJ40 · 09/06/2022 21:56

I didn't realise Arial was biblical.

SE13Mummy · 09/06/2022 21:58

It's a shame J names are out as Jesse or Jude would be my first thoughts.

Asa
Emmet
Ezra
Gabi
Ira
Levi
Sam
Seth
Shay
Shiloh
Zion

MerryMarigold · 09/06/2022 22:00

Not sure many of those are unisex, SE13, but I live in Essex so maybe it's different here!

DipperandMabel · 09/06/2022 22:01

Wow that’s some way to demand a name! Strange brief also….. no idea sorry!

Biblemother1 · 09/06/2022 22:05

I didn't want it to seem so aggressive so I apologise if it came across that way I just want to find the right name thanks for all the answers so far

Love and light to you all 💝

Is it still half term?

Biblemother1 · 09/06/2022 22:10

For all the people leaving irrelevant and nasty comments if you've got nothing nice to say don't say it at all

Thanks

I don't currently know an Emmet or Seth of both sexes but both names are used for both sexes.

merryhouse · 09/06/2022 22:21

Biblical names without using R, B or J? You're having a laugh, surely? And then to make them "unisex" too - when our entire culture is built on a knowledge of the people who held those names. Eve is a girl, Seth is a boy and so on.

I can only suggest you read through Genesis and find some pre-patriarch place names.

blameitonthecaffeine · 10/06/2022 00:19

Unisex and Biblical isn't easy.

Like previous suggestion of Eden.

Genesis?
I've heard Ezra for a girl in the US, I think?
Zion? (Might just be boys)
Asher/Asha?
Praise?
Hosanna?

Or maybe a name with a male/female equivalent but the same nickname? Like:
Stephen/Stephanie/Stevie
Thomas/Thomasina/Tommi
Christopher/Christina/Chris
Paul/Paula/Paulie
Peter/Petrova/Pete
Samuel/Samantha/Sam
Simon/Simone/Sy

sweetkitty · 10/06/2022 00:25

I am not being disrespectful but you do know with a unisex name you are setting your child up for a lifetime of is that Mr or Miss etc.

As a teacher we have two children with the same name in a class think Sam, they are known as boy Sam and girl Sam to distinguish them. Girl Sam (her name can’t be lengthened to for example Samantha) now hates her name and why she has a boys name and is wanting to be called her middle name now (she’s 6)

AmandaMirandaPanda · 10/06/2022 00:50

Assuming you mean the names can't start with R, J, D, F, M, or B rather than that they can't include any of those letters:

Amit
Anat(h)
Avital
Gili
Hedi
Lior
Liraz
Ori
Sahar
Shiran
Yali

These are mostly modern Hebrew, although some of them have roots further back as names, not specifically Biblical.

bridgetreilly · 10/06/2022 01:09

Very few biblical names are unisex. Noah is one.

Bettethebuilder · 10/06/2022 08:15

There aren’t any unisex names in the Bible. Are there? You could use a place name. Or some names might be male in Hebrew but perhaps female in other cultures.
Eg, Ari, Sharon.

Triptop · 10/06/2022 11:25

I'm struggling a little with the unisex thing. Sort of androgynous, could work with either...let's see...

Easter
Noel
Elisha
Micah
Asher
Jesse
Jordan
Jude
Abi
Joel
Jael
Josiah
Ariel
Salome
Agar
Jeshua
Michal
Abia
Amal
Ami
Anan
Areli
Ezra
Hirah
Ira

Sorry if it has the wrong letters, just too many restrictions to consider.

Starbeach · 10/06/2022 14:13

Can I ask why not any of those starting letters?

Very restrictive and there is very few unisex Biblical/Hebrew names. If you are Jewish you could speak with you rabbi.

Only one I can think of would be Sasha

Crunchymum · 10/06/2022 14:49

Why such a narrow and specific criteria?
