Anouk or Anais?

Can’t decide which of these we prefer for a French/English baby girl! (Pronounced ah-nook and ah-nah-ees.)

And would you use the accent on Anaïs or leave it as Anais? We will be based in the UK for the foreseeable future.

I love Anouk. I'd know it is a girls name from the famous book character in Chololat

I genuinely thought the other was pronounced Ah-nay. Which is also like, but might become Annie

Anouk. Anais makes me think of Anais Nin, which might not be an association I would want with a little girl TBH.

Definitely Anouk, Anais is a bit frilly for me
