Celia or tessa?

Deciding on a name for dd. Surname is one syllable. (‘Tess’ doesn’t flow very well unfortunately.)

Tessa. Lovely name.

Celia

Or Cecilia which is my No1 favourite. Tessa is ok but not as pretty and classic to me.

I like Tess but not so keen on Tessa, so Celia

If she's Tessa, she'll almost certainly become a Tess. (I have one.) If that makes a difference?

Both lovely names, either would be great. My personal preference would be Tessa I think, but honestly they are both really nice.

Delilah rather than Delia?
Tessa gets shortened to Tess all the time. Celia doesn't tend to be shortened IME (know 2 Tessa and 1 Celia)

Celia is better. Tess is a Yorkshire terrier

Tessa. But would probably go for Esther on the birth cert.

Tessa as it has lots of nickname/shorting potential.

Tessa because I met a really bloody cool Tessa once.

Celia sounds a bit medical.
