Sister for Lara

hello, I have a DD called Lara and we have a boy name sorted for the next baby but we can’t agree on a girls name. We need a name that works in Arabic/French/English and my OH likes Lina but is it too similar to Lara?? Thank you

I have never ever thought about it this way before ( I have 4 kids, all with quite old fashioned 1930's ish names) and I always wonder whether you do have to match names (apart from them not sounding ridiculous with your surname). but there is something in the 4 letter thing that @Theoldwoman mentions that I am liking. I always thought that if you have two or more children with the same initial it does cause some issues with the post later on (although probably quite helpful on the school uniform labelling front). Lina and Lara are very similar, but not to them, and not to their friends. If that is what is in your heart, then go for it.

Thank you everyone for replying. I’m going to suggest Alina to him as an option. It’s a valid point about getting mixed with siblings (my sister and I were both the same initial and got mixed up all the time) but I think that happens even if you pick two really different names.

How do those names work in Arabic and French..?
