This baby not due until early Dec but Im obsessed with names so thought I'd get some ideas.
Dd1 is Carys so typically I love names like Alice, Lois even Phyllis which are obvious no nos.
I also like Cassia but the same initial thing is a bit too twee for me and we want to use Kathleen as a tribute mn to my dbf who died suddenly in March.
Then of course it may be a boy! I've gone off all the names I had whilst carrying dd1.
Any ideas to get the creative juices flowing?

Some really lovely ideas here. Thank you ladies.
What do you think of Miriam? I think Miri is so sweet for a little one but worry that Miriam Kathleen is a bit old ladies knicker draw

@WeasilyPleased As your daughter has a Welsh name are you Welsh? Would you like to keep the Welsh theme?

JemimaTiggywinkle · 20/05/2022 20:07

I don’t think Carys and Lois are too similar.
I like Miriam.

BinBandit · 20/05/2022 20:59

I like Miriam but prefer Meredith (Meri as nn?)

Cloud16 · 20/05/2022 23:01

Carys is a beautiful name OP. Sorry about your loss :(

I like Miriam and also Mhairi or Mari (not sure spelling, but the sound is like mah-ray).

Miriam is definite old lady vibes! My friend has a daughter called Kesia. Not pronounced Kezia, it's a soft S.
