I love this name but the person I know who used it is super religious. We’re really not so is that a problem?

If I met them, I would assume they were super religious.

The only one I ever met was from one of the Southern US states so I presume from a v religious family.

Sounds like Judas but also sounds like doodah. A bad association and a ridiculous one.

But if it's the name you love, it's the name you love. There are worse!

I'd think of Ben Hur. But its my fave film ever

I really like it. I think of the wonderful Ben Hur too, and I’d assume you might be fans of the film before thinking you were very religious. It’s quite dramatic sounding, which I like. Also gentle, yet masculine. I don’t think it’s too similar to Judas at all. The s at the end of Judas is such a definite sound that it’s enough to differentiate between them. I’d be excited to meet a little Judah!

It's like Josiah or Jonah or Noah or Caleb - biblical but still fine. I quite like it!

I would expect Judah to be from a religious family, but with the current biblical name trend, I wouldn’t be too surprised if he wasn’t. I think the similarity to Judas is why it hasn’t taken off like Jude or Jonah, but it wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me.
