Inspired by the recent Thomasina thread, are there any feminisations that you like? I have a huge soft spot for Frederica and Benedicta.

Alexandra is one of my favourite names

Also like Victoria, Louisa and Charlotte

(and I'm sure many others will spring to mind 2 secs after I press 'post')

We had a family in the 1970s who lived near us and their son was Daniel and their daughter was Danielle.

I think because they don't feel like feminised boys names, but thats proubably because I have never met an Eric or a Claud

I’d never use it, but I quite like Jamesina.

More realistically, Danielle or Gabrielle.

My DH and his sister have the male and female versions of their name but there is another sibling between them.
I used to know a brother and sister called Christopher and Christina.

Not favourites but I was fascinated when I heard Thomasina for the first time, followed by Jamesina and Williamina (not Wilhelmina). I quite like Harriet and know girl whose parents thought she was going to be Harry.

I assume Jamesina is pronounced James-eena? The spelling looks more like jam-ess-eena.

I think Thomasina evolved into the more popularTamsin.

Neither are used much at the moment though. I do like Tamsin, not so keen on Tammy.
