Favourite feminisations of boys names

Inspired by the recent Thomasina thread, are there any feminisations that you like? I have a huge soft spot for Frederica and Benedicta.

Looking though the names it’s really interesting actually because some of them (Jamesina, Henrietta, Antonia, Philippa) seem very connected to the male names to me, but others (like Cecilia, Louisa Claudia) I don’t tend to think of in the context of their male counterparts. Cecilia especially was an ‘oh yes of course’ even though I logically know the origin.

Scotland really is a leader for this! I remember years ago someone posted a list of feminisations from gravestones in Scotland and there were some great names there.

I know a young Albertine. I think it's lovely now.

I knew of a Donaldina from the Western Isles. I was told adding 'ina' to male names was common in those parts? Can't think of other examples off top of my head though...

An friend of mine knew a Davida growing up. Pronounced da-VEE-da. That's unique.

Phanuelina is the worst I have seen.

I like Jacobina.

Phanuelina sounds like a Victorian ailment. An abundance of phlegm. Or perhaps a suppuration of an unmentionable organ.

TBF Phanuel is a bit of an odd boys’ name as well. Wonder if it was a misspelling of Samuelina - which still isn’t great but at least comes from a name I’ve heard of!

watching a documentary the other evening and one of the women was called Jacoba, which I love!

Phanuel is a Biblical name; it's definitely not a misspelling. He didn't do anything other than be referred to as "father of"

I know a Davida online so glad someone up thread said how it's pronounced. Was unsure if it was Da-vee-da or David-a.

Louisa is my favourite.

I prefer Tamasin and Tamsin to Thomasina.

Archibaldina and Hamishina. (Dina and Sheena for short.)

Some of these are a right mouthful.
Thomasina is from The Return of the Native. Quite a weak, pathetic character, not like the feisty Eustacia. I wanted to name dd1 Eustacia but dh said no.
