heidi is nice, not so keen on the others.

2pinkginsplease · 11/05/2022 21:10

Melody -no
Heidi -ok
Faye- no
Poppy -like

Greatoutdoors · 11/05/2022 21:11

I’m not keen on Melody - I find it a bit twee but the others are lovely. Poppy is my favourite but also the most popular in my area, followed by Heidi, then Faye.

KangarooKenny · 11/05/2022 21:11

Heidi - I like it.

Rainbowqueeen · 11/05/2022 21:12

I like them all. I don’t think Faye works with a one syllable surname though. Is that an issue

StopFeckingFaffing · 11/05/2022 21:12

My order of preference

Heidi - great name
Melody - nice name if a little twee
Poppy - like it but overused in past 20 years
Faye - not keen, bit wet sounding to my ears

Canadagoosegoose · 11/05/2022 21:18

I really don't like Melody, not sure why - a bit twee maybe? I find Poppy and Heidi too cutesy, can't imagine a grown woman with those names. I actually like Faye / Fay. Other suggestions -

Fern
Phoebe
Felicity
Verity
Hazel
Penelope
Willow

Mumofgirls2017 · 11/05/2022 22:00

Melody or Heidi!

AnnaSW1 · 11/05/2022 22:01

I'm not fan of any of those

TokenGinger · 11/05/2022 22:03

I love Melody. It's a name I had on my list if we had a girl.

Not a big fan of Heidi.

Poppy is cute but quite overused.

Faye is nice.

ladygindiva · 11/05/2022 22:04

I like all of them, Heidi and Faye the most.

Aquamarine1029 · 11/05/2022 22:05

I dislike all of them. Some quite strongly.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 11/05/2022 22:09

Faye is pretty, although I prefer similar but more classic May. The others are a bit cutesy sounding for my taste, sorry.

Verity, Felicity, Willow, Rose/Rosalie, Iris, Sylvie, Jessamine/Jessamy have a similar style to your other choices to me but perhaps a bit more elegant feeling imo.

quietnightmare · 11/05/2022 22:14

Melody - 0/10 - terrible and don't like 'Mel'
Heidi - 6/10 - neither here nor there
Faye - 0/10 - boring
Poppy - 7/10 - cute and best of the lot

keziah81 · 11/05/2022 22:21

Melody - beautiful and original but maybe not great for a serious adult woman
Heidi - strongly dislike, way too twee
Faye - love! Beautiful and classy
Poppy - strongly dislike, sounds like describing someone who 'pops'?!

Alternatively how about Cara, Melissa, Alice, Mia?

lljkk · 11/05/2022 22:22

I like Faye less than the others but they are all fine.

yikesanotherbooboo · 11/05/2022 22:27

I like Heidi.
I really don't like Faye
Melody is interesting and ok imo.
Poppy is a dog's name

melcalfe · 12/05/2022 03:45

Melody - love love love ❤️
Heidi - meh
Faye - ok. A bit boring
Poppy - absolutely awful, it doesn't sound like a name. Like a sound you'd make when popping something.

melcalfe · 12/05/2022 03:46

If melody is twee then how about Elody?
It was my chosen name but I'm having a boy

Rainbowbaby13 · 12/05/2022 08:09

Thanks for all the opinions

I like the suggestions of

Phoebe & Elodie

OP posts:
darlingdodo · 12/05/2022 08:16

Phoebe is great.

I know an adult Heidi, and tbh, the name doesn't suit her at all.

SallyWD · 12/05/2022 08:18

I only like Faye and Poppy which I think are lovely.

StopFeckingFaffing · 12/05/2022 09:43

Phoebe is nicer than of your original 4 suggestions

Elodie is nice too but I'd be worried about it getting shortened to Ella, Elle or Ellie of which there are thousands in the 0-20 age bracket

KirstenBlest · 12/05/2022 11:45

Melody - ok but wll get ding-dong jokes. I prefer it to the insipid Elodie
Heidi - fine
Faye - prefer Fay
Poppy - fine

RuthW · 12/05/2022 12:17

Love Melody and Faye. Not keen on the other two.
