Emma, Alice, Lucy, Louisa and Maria

What are your opinions on these names and what's your favourite and least favourite? Thanks.

Your first list is very Jane Austen. Nothing super exciting on there but all solid classic names which won't date.

My favourites are Louisa, which is actually my middle name, and Maria.

Your second list is very 2020s "now" names but of the three I'd go for Rose if it's a first name rather than a filler middle name. I prefer Rosa though.

I like Freya Rosie and Evie such beautiful names and they won’t date as much as the others on the first list - the others were very popular when I was younger and I see them as very 80s baby names! but go with what you LOVE :)

Freya's not just popular, it's been popular for about 20 years. I don't see the appeal.
Eve is nice but there are so many Evies.

I really like Louisa, it's a lovely name and not overused either

Lucy - I love this, and is the name of the baby I lost in 2007.
Emma - I love this too. I always wanted to be called Emma as a child.
Freya - I like.
Alice - one of my daughter's middle names.
Eve - I like.
Rose - I like but prefer Rosie, Rosa or Rosanna.
Louisa - I quite like.
Maria - I just hear the "How do you solve a problem" song in my head, but I'm sure that's just me. I don't think this generation will care about The Sound of Music.

Louisa: Lovely!!
Emma: Very nice.
Alice: Also very nice.
Maria: I have personal associations tha make me dislike it. but it's perfectly fine from a more objective point of view, I believe...
Lucy: Not my cup of tea. It's rather wet imo.

Lucy, Freya and Eve are my favourites.
Really don't like Maria or Louisa. Emma and Alice are nice enough just a bit plain. Not a fan of Rose but like Rosie.. can't explain why!

I like Alice, Rose and Lucy.

I work in a school and these names would be a breath of fresh air at the moment.
