Previous names have been Ethel, Delilah, Florence, Willow and Winifred what other names can you suggest?

I love old lady names.

What is this Hortense name? Never ever heard it before.

How is it even pronounced? Not sure I could pull it off with my Brummy twang!!!

I know 2 Hortenses. Both brisk ladies in their 80s. .

It’s pronounced HOR tense….seemingly means of the garden.

I also like Eunice.

I want a Susan but agree that Peggy is great!

Fleur405 · 26/04/2022 19:06

I met a dog called Isla yesterday.

I like the previous suggestions of Rita and Mildred!

I heard of a baby named Gertrude Mavis recently, which I thought was splendid.

Elsiebear90 · 26/04/2022 19:37

My dog is named Elsie, but I’ve met a few kids with that name now, so I always feel a little bit awkward when people say “that’s my daughter’s name!” as if I have to say that I don’t think it’s a dog’s name, if that makes sense. We have given all our pets human names though.

sageandbasil · 26/04/2022 19:38

Dorothy

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 26/04/2022 19:41

Old man/lady names on pets are boring. Give her an 80s mum name like Jan or Sandra or Linda.

MoonBat · 26/04/2022 19:48

Joan. Got to be Joan.

myeyesneverstoprolling · 26/04/2022 19:52

Ruby Augusta
Mary Octavia
Hazel Mildred
Penelope Rachel
Minnie LaVerna

Nancy

The last ones I couldn't remember the last names but I hope this helps.
