Which name do you prefer, Emily or Felicity?

That's a hard one, I really do like both names.

I think maybe Felicity by a hair wins for me but I do love Emily

We have a little Felicity so I may be biased :) But people are always commenting what a lovely name it is.

Felicity strikes me as a very "girly" name. It's probably because I had a pencil case with this character on as a child en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felicity_Wishes haha
But there's nothing at all wrong with a girly name, and I think this connotation with the fictional fairy isn't widespread, probs just me, and even if it was, it wouldn't matter. Who doesn't like fairies.

I don't love Felicity, it's a little bit drippy. But it's better than Emily.

Emily. Felicity is too long

I prefer Emily- it's a bit more 'boring'/classic than Felicity but I find Felicity has become quite popular where I live and I think it's a bit long, it's weird that it contains the word 'city'.

I think Emily sounds drippy but it's better than Felicity

Charlotte and Carrie are sort of the same name, if it matters to you - as in Carrie is short for Caroline which is, like Charlotte, a feminine of Charles
