All pretty bad. But Sukie is horrendous.

TerribleCustomerCervix · 13/04/2022 20:11

No.

Susie May or Sukie May
dmb91 · 13/04/2022 20:14

Susie May

Dinoteeth · 13/04/2022 20:16

Sukie as in the song, Polly put the kettle on, Sukey took it off again?

Or Sookie like sookie sweeties, or a big sook?

Not a good choice for a name

caringcarer · 13/04/2022 20:34

Suki Mae is lovely.

MacaroniCheeseCat · 13/04/2022 20:38

May rather than Mae/Mai for me, although I think the Mae goes better with Sukie/Sukey than with Susie, for what it’s worth. If Susie, I would stick with Mae.

I agree with others about Susannah because I love the name! But I think I prefer Susie, followed by Sukey, followed by Sukie (the latter doesn’t look quite right to me, although I appreciate it’s a correct spelling).

Firebird83 · 13/04/2022 22:10

Susannah May nn Susie

BungleandGeorge · 13/04/2022 22:14

I prefer May but if you’re using the name to honour a family member I think you need to use whatever spelling they have.
I prefer Susie but Sukie is ok too

Babyboomtastic · 13/04/2022 22:21

Apologies if this sounds a bit crude, but my first thought with Sukey/Sukie is that its going to get them a lot of grief in secondary school.

Its to similar to Suck Me. Or Sucky Me, which isn't much better

I know that's not how is pronounced, but try taking that to a bunch of teenager boys.

Sorry.

Luredbyapomegranate · 13/04/2022 22:50

It’s just too cowgirl

But Susannah May nn Sukey is nice

Mai is terrible

BHCU1343 · 13/04/2022 22:52

I adore Susie and Sukie, as a nickname for Susannah. Prefer Sukie, but dislike either as the full name.

May is fine. The other spellings are naff.

Saltyquiche · 14/04/2022 06:27

Susie is lovely

yikesanotherbooboo · 14/04/2022 09:38

Susannah May for me.
Then call her Susie or Sukie as you prefer, my choice would be Susie. If May is for family reasons don't change the spelling , it is by far my preferred spelling in any case.

DiamondBright · 14/04/2022 12:14

Is May a middle name or hyphenated second first name?

I think it's fine as a middle name, but absolutely done to death as a hyphenated first name, a trend that won't date well IMO and I suspect many kids will drop the second name as they get older.

Everyone will assume it's a fashion choice and not a family name.

Padderbadger · 15/04/2022 02:22

I prefer Sukie May

ANUsernam · 15/04/2022 02:33
