What are your thoughts on the following and which do you like the best?

Mia Elizabeth
Grace Elizabeth

Thank you!

OP posts:
Purpleroseas · 12/04/2022 10:25

Both fine but very popular/widely used already.

pictish · 12/04/2022 10:26

Mia over Grace.

Mrsjayy · 12/04/2022 10:27

Mia is my favourite.

itsgettingweird · 12/04/2022 10:31

I'd go for both!

Mia Grace or Mia Grace Elizabeth

Prefer Mia because it's less popular but love the names Mia, Grace and Elizabeth.

You could even have Elizabeth Grace.

Not much help am I?!

drivinmecrazy · 12/04/2022 10:32

Grace obviously cos I have one (21)
I hate the way people say no to a name because 'it's too popular'
As context my Gma was horrified we named her Grace because it was so popular or common in her generation 😂
Love Mia too actually.

Mrsjayy · 12/04/2022 10:35

Just all the names itsgettingweird😃

Don't go with 2 middle names if using Elizabeth she won't thank you. I did it with one of my Dds and it never fits on letters or certificates driving licence etc etc, it was the bane of Dds life !

CoastalWave · 12/04/2022 10:35

Grace 100%

Every Mia I have ever taught has been either mean or selfish. Doesn't Mia stand for mine? That's how they've all been!! Mine mine mine!!

Grace is super classy.

Mrsjayy · 12/04/2022 10:37

I think Mia means goddess or Queen I don't think it means mine 🤔

Pamlar · 12/04/2022 10:39

Mia. Love it.
Also like Grace but it's a bit more pressure to be grateful etc

Pamlar · 12/04/2022 10:39

*Graceful

SunshiningBoo · 12/04/2022 12:03

I prefer Grace Elizabeth.

WhoppingBigBackside · 12/04/2022 13:24

Not keen on Mia. Overused.
Not keen on Grace as a middle name.

Grace Elizabeth is ok

You're free to hate it, but the op was asking for opinions. Having a popular name can have its disadvantages, so it's worth pointing out.

The 'it's too popular' or 'overused' to me means that it's become quite ordinary, and the child will go through life being one of many.

drivinmecrazy · 12/04/2022 15:01

But popular now doesn't mean there's a plethora of Graces in their twenties therefore it can't be categorised as too popular.
I know my DD didn't and doesn't have anyone she knows of that name so she would disagree saying it's too popular.
Just my opinion 😂

Maybe not in their 20s but there sure are lots of young Mias and Graces!

And yes, by very popular I mean overused and a little dull. Such names may start to sound dated as they fall out of favour again.

Firebird83 · 12/04/2022 18:14

Grace

Luredbyapomegranate · 14/04/2022 00:21

Grace - Popular but timeless too

Mia is just faddy, overused and tired, will date

Luredbyapomegranate · 14/04/2022 00:23

Confused

Mia Grace Elizabeth would fit fine on forms - it’s about as long as my (three) names
RestingMurderousFace · 14/04/2022 00:23

Grace is lovely.

DramaAlpaca · 14/04/2022 01:26

I'm not mad on Grace, but at least it's a strong sort of name. Mia is a bit weak and insubstantial to me.

Dinoteeth · 14/04/2022 01:30

Grace, is winner for me
But Mia is OK although I'd spell it Maya

PopOfNothing · 14/04/2022 03:12

Grace has been popular since the 90s, my DD is nearly 23 and there was four in her Graces in her year (out of 80s kids), plus herself. She also knew a few other Graces over the years in clubs.

Mia / Maya has always been a relatively popular name for 20 odd years, I distinctly remember there being two Mias in sports team that DD was in (I managed said team).

Given I named my DD Grace I dont have a problem with popular names. But because the number of 'unique' names has increased in recent years, there will be less babies named names that top charts.

Obviously I would choose Grace (biased) but I also really like Mia.
Rats82 · 14/04/2022 04:18

Padderbadger · 15/04/2022 02:10
