Otis for a boy
Orla for a girl

Sibling to Leo

Or what else might I like?

Not keen on either of them. Leo is nice.

Leo and Otis is a bit O heavy and will be difficult to saay.

KirstenBlest · 11/04/2022 20:32

say not saay. Orla is nice in an irish accent but it tends to be Awla here

timoteigirl · 11/04/2022 20:33

Depends on the family name, too. Is it the O-sound you like?

weebarra · 11/04/2022 20:35

Both are nice. Depends on the accent though - Orrla in mine.

I think they're lovely and go nicely

springingup · 11/04/2022 20:51

Thanks for the replies. I did wonder about the 'O's together but it's also partly what I like about them.

I like how Leo is soft sounding, short and can't be shortened so would like to choose something along those lines.

Surname is very short one syllable.

I like Otis. Not Orla.

DramaAlpaca · 11/04/2022 23:13

I like both of them with Leo.

FinnRussell · 11/04/2022 23:16

I like Orla but agree it's not so good in accents that drop the R. Both work fine with Leo.

roarfeckingroarr · 12/04/2022 09:04

There's an Orla and an Otis in my baby group (SW London). Lovely names and lovely babies/families.

bloominglovelyorange · 13/04/2022 14:34

I love Otis and Orla

17caterpillars1mouse · 13/04/2022 18:18

I really like Otis

Really like Orla aswell though I prefer the Orlaith spelling as it seems more substantial.

Love Oona too which has a similar sound
