I want to change my baby’s middle name

Hey, my son is 23 months
His middle name is Alexander Christopher plus he has my surname and his dads so 5 names. I feel I was pressured into giving him Alexander because it means something to his mum ( baring in mind me and his mum don’t get on) Christopher as part of his middle name as he’s born on his dads birthday so thought that was a nice thought as that’s his dads name . However I am having big regrets now something I keep thinking about and I feel I want to change .would it be a bad thing if I did ?

Changing his name now will be much harder than if he were under a year. You will need a deed poll and everyone with parental responsibility needs to agree. Personally I wouldn't, as he'd have to declare his previous name for the rest of his life and I'd leave it to him to make that decision for himself.

I wouldn’t stress too much about the middle spot. I don’t know any of my friends’ middle names! If it helps, I think Alexander and Christopher are great names and there are meaningful connections for both parents.

He could easily chose to drop a middle name
or two when he's older so I would definitely not go through the hassle

I would ask yourself why it matters so much too- it really shouldn't
