Noah and ?

Struggling to narrow down. Help would be much appreciated. Already have a Noah, so.....

Noah and Jacob 'middlename to be decided'
or
Noah and Hugo Jacob

Noah and Sofia Matilda
or
Noah and Savannah 'middle name to be decided'

I absolutely love Bella but surname begins with B and is 2 syllables long. Not sure if it would work?

Other suggestions welcome!
Thanks x

I prefer Jacob and Sofia but they're all good options

SummaLuvin · 09/04/2022 16:57

Jacob and Noah are popular, so used independently I wouldn’t jump to conclusions about religion. But together I would make the assumption that their parents were devout Christians. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I think it’s worth knowing what connotations names have.

MacaroniCheeseCat · 09/04/2022 16:58

Noah and Jacob go well together! Lovely names. As do Noah and Sofia, although I would probably go for a middle name that didn’t end in -a.

If you’re open to suggestions, I think Noah also goes well with the following:

Isaac
Samuel
Lucas
James

Phoebe
Lucy
Clara
Grace

Bella is lovely but I agree with your surname it sounds as though it wouldn’t work well. Would you consider Isabelle or Isobel? Or would the B sound not flow well?

Newuser82 · 09/04/2022 17:44

Noah and Luca?

SunshiningBoo · 09/04/2022 17:46

I like Jacob and Savannah.

Mammyloveswine · 09/04/2022 18:20

We know a Noah and Eli (short for Elijah!)

Also Noah and...

Seb
Ethan
Jude
Adam
Isaac
Oscar
Lucas

For girls...

Elodie
Esme
Emily
Charlotte
Gabriella
Rosa
Clara

@SummaLuvin I was concerned it may sound over biblical.
@MacaroniCheeseCat the reason for two A endings is because I can't use Matilda as a first name but desperately want to still use, so had to compromise with middle name. The only other name I Considered was Eloise. Eloise Matilda - no double A. I don't think Isabel would work and I'm not keen on Izzy. Prefer just Bella as a stand alone name.

Instead of Hugo, I have also Considered Oscar Jacob. Noah and Oscar.

I love Bella! Are you sure it won't 'go' ?

headspin10 · 09/04/2022 19:20

Noah and Josie

Sunnytwobridges · 09/04/2022 20:37

Jacob and Savannah. Sofia is so common where I live

GoodSoup · 09/04/2022 20:38

Theo
Arlo
Luca
Finlay
Jack

Feel like Noah and Sofia are slightly rhymey. I don’t like Bella personally, to me it’s a dog’s name but also it just feels like a nickname for something.

Luredbyapomegranate · 09/04/2022 20:41

Both Issac and Hugo go really well

I’d probably go with Issac as I think (check) it’s a bit less popular right now - Issac Hugo?

Sofia is way overused - Sophie goes better and is more unusual.

Savannah is quite a cheesy Hello mag style name, which would be a shame as Noah is great -
Susannah works really well though.

If you like Bella, then why not go for Annabel or Christabel, so she has options if she finds the double B too much. I wouldn’t use Bella as a full name, it’s not substantial.

Serena, Adela, Cassia, Stella, Estella, Esther, Claudia, Francesca, Jessica, Georgia might all be options. Or Caitlin, Frances, Chloe, Sylvie, Imogen, Genevieve, if you aren’t fixed on an ‘ah’ ending.

Luredbyapomegranate · 09/04/2022 20:42

Oscar and Eloise are also great.

TilICant · 09/04/2022 20:50

@Luredbyapomegranate Thank you for such detailed post. Its really hard I'm still hampering after Matilda although can't use as a first name. Its making it soooo much harder.
I dont really like Susannah unfortunately. I'm not really loving any biblical girls names if the truth be known. The only one really is Delilah but meaning puts me off.....
I'm pretty set on Jacob either as a first or middle name. Got talked out of using with my first son so desperate to use this time.
Oh why is it so hard?!

I was going to suggest Matilda for a dd and Issac for a Ds.

So I'd go with Jacob (similar type of name) and Sofia Matilda (my ds was going to be Sofia if a girl!)

Luredbyapomegranate · 09/04/2022 21:16

How about Eloise nn Ella?

Noah and Eloise / Noah and Ella is great
Eloise Matilda is great also

TilICant · 09/04/2022 21:18

@Luredbyapomegranate Eloise Matilda sounds very pretty, thank you 💕

Noah and Caleb

Noah and Cora

Nancydrawn · 09/04/2022 21:24

Can I ask, OP, why can't you use Matilda as a first name?

mellicauli · 09/04/2022 21:25

Noah and Nelly

TilICant · 09/04/2022 21:29

@Nancydrawn A couple of close friends have used Matilda so don't feel I can use it.

I have a Noah and Jacob and no one has assumed I'm a devout Christian to my knowledge!

I love their names together so would pick Jacob for a boy. I had Ava or Evelyn for a girl but love Sofia!
