We are almost settled for this name for our baby boy. Any thoughts? I love both the greek mythology and the geography meanings

That’s a big name for a kid. I wouldn’t do it, personally - but if you love it and are prepared for a few raised eyebrows then go for it. It’s a nice meaning.

Just painfully trendy to me. I imagine it will be pretty fast fashion name. It's gone from no recorded uses to suddenly over a hundred babies a year with that name, and when the trend it over it will fall just as quickly.

Love it. I had it on my list by DH wasn't sure.

If you have Greek heritage, perhaps. But otherwise: You love how Greek myths condemn a rebel to forever bear a crushing weight on his head and hands? Or (another myth) how a man who refused shelter to a traveller was turned into a mountain as a punishment? But up to you. The name is easy to spell and say.

What if he's a skinny little geek? I've got two skinny little geeks but the idea of saddling them with a name like Atlas?? Is he likely to be enormous and outgoing?? If not just don't
