I love Anastasia, have done for years.
not overly fond of Angelica (rug rats) :-)

Greensleeves · 05/04/2022 13:15

Emmeline

toastofthetown · 05/04/2022 13:23

I like it. I think the Hamilton association is stronger than the Rugrats one. Angelicaaaa.

I also like Anneliese from your list.

MrsPaperclip · 05/04/2022 13:30

I like them all. Angelica does make me think of that candied green stuff from.the olden days (by which I mean the 80s Wink), though.

KirstenBlest · 05/04/2022 13:31

Angelica - would probably not be angelic, green diamond on a trifle
Annelise - Neighbours character
Emmeline - I like Emma, Emily is ok but not keen on Emmeline
Natalia - Christmas baby
Anastasia - ruined bt 50 Shades annd Disney

Natalia is the best on the list

Climbingthelaundrymountain · 05/04/2022 13:32

I don't like Angelica. Makes me think of rugrats or dessert!

I love Emmeline.

SunshiningBoo · 05/04/2022 13:36

I love them all! My favourite is Annelise. Followed by Emmeline.

Fl0w3ry · 05/04/2022 13:41

I don’t like Emmeline or Angelica. The rest are great names.

Sprig1 · 05/04/2022 13:41

They are all a big of a mouthful so I would imagine she will pick up a nick name sooner rather than later. Even if you don't give her one then other people almost certainly will. Have a think about which names have nick names that you like/dislike.
I like Angelica. I have never met one.

KirstenBlest · 05/04/2022 13:46

Angelica - Ange, Angie, Gelly
Annelise - Annie, Anna, Lise
Emmeline - Em, Emmie/Emmy
Natalia - Nat, Tally, Talia
Anastasia - Ana, Stacey

HelloBunny · 05/04/2022 13:48

Angelica is the best one here.
Angie would be a nice nickname, too.

Jossbow · 05/04/2022 14:22

Ann-Jelly-Cuh
or
Ann-jell-eek-uh?

Thehundredthnamechange · 05/04/2022 14:28

Love Angelica and Anneliese

agreed, I can't hear or read Angelica without my brain going ELIIIIIZAAA afterwards. But that is probably a reflection of me listening to the soundtrack far too much, and it's not a negative association. In Russia the diminutive Gelya is used for Angelina, which I think it beautiful, and can see no reason you couldn't use for Angelica too.

I like Natalia best of your names, but really dislike Nat as a diminutive, the risk of it being used when my child grew up would be too much for me to consider the name.

I also really like Anastasia, however I prefer the ANNA-STAR-SEE-AH pronunciation to ANNA-STAY-SEE-AH, which, at least where in live, would be an uphill battle.

Not fond of Emmeline or Anneliese.
WashableVelvet · 05/04/2022 15:50

How about Anneli? Same vibe as some of yours

RuthW · 05/04/2022 16:38

Love all except Annaleise

MadCatLady3 · 05/04/2022 17:36

Angelica reminds me of Angelica Pickle from the Rugrats and Anastasia was ruined by fifty shades of grey. I like the others. Annelise is my favourite.

DogsAndGin · 06/04/2022 20:24

Angelica - hate it
Annelise - hate it
Emmeline - pretentious
Natalia - great if you’re Russian
Anastasia - great if you’re Russian

Luredbyapomegranate · 06/04/2022 20:31

Annelise - elegant
Emmeline - sparky

Natalia - OK, a bit odd if not Russian etc
Anastasia - v Disney Princess unless you are Russian

Angelica - ok, except she’ll end up Angie so no

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 06/04/2022 20:34

Love Annelise
Dislike Angelica. It’s that green stuff on Christmas cakes.I imagine it’s a very hard name to live up to!
Emmeline - ok
Natasha - bit 80s
Anastasia - ok

orangetriangle · 06/04/2022 20:56

how about Angelina

FlamingoDust · 06/04/2022 22:29

Love Angelica and Anastasia

Elysant · 07/04/2022 09:21

Love Angelica, Anastasia and Emmeline

not really fan of Angelina because I strongly associate it with Jolie and I find Angelica sounding very bell-like, which is why I'm not fan of Angel or Angela either. I live where I can hear church bells and Angelica sounds like these bells the most.

loumumise · 07/04/2022 13:56

My 12 year old is Angelica, the family call her jelly. We do get a lot of nice comments on her name when we meet people.

Glitterbiscuits · 07/04/2022 15:06

Angelica is lovely!
