JulesRimetStillGleaming · 04/04/2022 23:51

I know one. I live in Wales.

YukoandHiro · 05/04/2022 00:14

We know 2 (south London)

LowlyTheWorm · 05/04/2022 00:17

2- one is 17 and the other is 12.

I don’t really have strong feelings either way- maybe associate Dylan with the slightly dippy lad on Modern Family? or the rabbit from the Magic Roundabout…

SkiingIsHeaven · 05/04/2022 00:36

I know two; my friends kid (15 ish) and my mum's last dog.

AlwaysLatte · 05/04/2022 00:36

I had it on my list of names but my husband vetoed it. Also love Django. My mums dog is called Dylan though!

VivienneDelacroix · 05/04/2022 00:55

I know one 11 year-old boy.
I used to know a couple of girls too - they must be about 28-30 now.

GoldenGorilla · 05/04/2022 00:56

AHungryCaterpillar · 05/04/2022 00:57

AuntTwacky · 05/04/2022 01:23

I know a Dylan who is 6 weeks old! Love the name

notangelinajolie · 05/04/2022 01:37

Apart from Magic Roundabout, just one Dylan in real life. He bullied my youngest DD at school and made what should have been the best days of her life hell.
Hate that name now.

TheUnexpectedPickle · 05/04/2022 01:38

Nephew is a Dylan. He's nearly 1.

Doesn't stop moving, but is the happiest, smiliest baby I have ever met.

Mountainbear · 05/04/2022 03:30

@Justkeeppedaling

Are you going to pronounce it the correct Welsh way (Dullan) or the incorrect English way (Dillan)?
It's a Welsh name and yes, the correct pronunciation is 'Dullan'. However, 'Dillan' is the more common pronunciation in England, where I live. It's also a perfectly acceptable pronunciation among English speakers in South Wales, where my family live. It sounds much nicer in my opinion. I also believe that even Dylan Thomas pronounced his own name 'Dillan'...?

I have only met one in my travels, pronounced the 'English' way. Is it spelt 'Dillon' in Ireland?

emmathedilemma · 05/04/2022 09:03

I know of one but that's all - a friend of friend's son, he must be about 15 now.

Mumofgirls2017 · 05/04/2022 09:18

It’s nice. I know one who is 3

zen1 · 05/04/2022 09:24

OldEvilOwl · 05/04/2022 09:29

purplecorkheart · 05/04/2022 09:42
