Which names wouldn't work on anyone?Confused

Grace - if she's not graceful?

Max - if he's small?

Giovanni - if he's not Italian?

In my experience people tend to grow into their names, whatever they are like?!

I would say the more ‘classic’ names tend to work regardless of class and, to an extent, culture. I could imagine many ‘classic’ names (or their usual shortenings) not seeming out of place on anyone from a criminal in prison to a politician or royal. Eg:

James
Thomas
Matthew
Edward
Andrew
Benjamin
Oliver
Daniel
Joseph

Sophie
Alice
Chloe
Charlotte
Victoria
Sarah

By work on anyone, do you mean travel well at least across Europe and work don’t have negative connotations in those languages?

Names like Alexander, Anna, Lara, Peter, Luca - ones you actually hear used relatively widely.

Names like Pippa - absolutely not.

Would work taking established nicknames into consideration:
Emma, Zoe, Lara, Anna, Emilia, Sophie, Lucy, Charlotte, Sylvia, Isobel

Mark, Alexander, John, Thomas, George, Charles, Hugh, Adam, Aaron.

Alexander, Samuel, Daniel, Nicolas, Luke, Joseph

Sophie, Anna, Catherine, Lucy, Emma, Ellie
