Hi, I have a 4 year old Evelyn Rose and have a little girl due May. Trying to use a family name as the middle name either Mary or Eleanor or a version or Eleanor (Ellie)
I just can’t decide on a name really struggling to settle on something thinking either

Maeve Ellie
Iris Ellie
Iris Mary

Unless you have a long surname I would use the full Eleanor as a middle name imo it sounds better,

Love both those names as well beautiful

Ellie is a bit weak as a middle name, Eleanor is better
I don't really like Maeve, seems to blend into all the May, Mae, Mabel, Maya type na,es

Iris is ok and I like Mary

I'd go for Mary Eleanor or Iris Mary

Eleanor sounds much much better than Ellie as a middle. I like both Maeve and Iris! Iris Mary sounds ever so slightly better than Iris Eleanor due to the 'I' and the 'E' - for some reason I think two vowel names flow a little less well.

Personally I'd use both middle names!
Iris Mary Eleanor Surname (would be my choice as the names sound perfect together)
Maeve Mary Eleanor Surname (but close second as Maeve is so pretty too)

If you are set on using those family names and not so much picking something to 'go with' them try Ellie Maria or something similar

Iris Mary flows the best of those options, the others seem to have too many vowels!

I agree with others that Eleanor sounds better than Ellie as a middle name.

I'm personally not keen on Maeve but I think Iris Eleanor is a beautiful name. Iris Mary is quite nice too.

If she’s due in May, how about Mary Eleanor nn May? May is traditionally a short form of Mary, and it’s not too overused as a first name.

Iris is also very nice albeit very popular - Iris Mary works well.

I don’t like Maeve at all. Eleanor is lovely but she’ll end up one of many Ellies, and you also probably don’t want two E names

Frances might be nice? Frances Eleanor works well.
