Sibling for Hugo

Hi all,

Would appreciate thoughts on potential baby names for sibling (unknown gender currently) for Hugo.

Here is a list of names currently being considered. Open to other suggestions. Not a big fan of "ee" or "y" ending names generally.

I think you need something with a similarly long tradition, Philippa is my favourite from your list, Eliza or Elsie/Elsa only as nns for Elizabeth, or otherwise Edith.

I’d avoid Evelyn as so overused, Erin because it’s not very distinguished, Erica, Bronwen and Bridget don’t really go, and Ingrid I just think is ugly.

Beatrice, Astrid, Constance, Serena, Cecilia, Jocelyn, Imogen, Marianne, Cassia, Adela, Emmeline, Flora, Stella / Estella, Edwina, Alicia, Honor, Esther, Frances, Francesca, Lois, Alison, Caroline, Diana, Antonia, Genevieve, Leonora might all be alternatives

Of your boys list Giles goes well, and Issac works ok too.

Ivan and Ethan are a bit faddy and I just can’t stand Ralph (like a dog yapping).

Rafe, Rufus, Nathaniel, Jude, Guy, Miles, Gabriel, Dominic, Patrick, Laurence, Josiah, Joshua, Cassian, Lucian, Julius, Ernest, Arthur, Edmund, Walter, John, Jonathan, Justin, Francis, Robert, Alistair, Alexander, Benedict, Benjamin might all be alternatives
