Hi all, we have found out that we are going to have another little boy but are struggling to agree on a name.
Our first born is named Flynn.
I am fixated on the name Rory for this one but husband isn't going for it, he likes Kai, Kit or Rowan.

Can anyone help with any suggestions please? (Or how to get him to agree? 😉🤣)

Christopher nn Kit.

NOT KAI

Rowan would be the one I'd go for. Rory would be a no as there are family members who can't sat R (Wowy and Vovy)

I don't like Kit or Kai

Oh Flynn and Rory are great together!
I’d go for Rowan of those suggestions. Kit is ok but Kai is awful.

Flynn is a gorgeous name. Great taste.
Rowan is my baby girls name. I know it's a unisex name but it feels like a girl name to me for obvious reasons and I know 2 female Rowan's. There are positives and negatives about the name, the negatives being that I hate the shortening to Row which seems to happen immediately even if you ask people not to. The other thing is the similarity to RoMan with an M which is THE fastest rising boy name. Risen hundreds of places to now be top 30. Will be top 20 soon. So it does get confusing when there's two Romans in the nursery or at baby swimming. You have to specify that the middle letter is "a W and not an M" a lot. Just thought I'd warn you of that. I regret using this name to be honest. But that's just me.

I really love the name Kit by the way. How about Kasper or Austin or Otto or Tristan or Caleb or Axel or Blake

Rory is great

Owen
Warren

Hello! I recommend you these names (I think they are pretty unique):

  1. Aillin, inspired by High King of Ireland (7th century BC). Name means 'fairy'.
  1. Elinard, inspired by Prince of Galilee and Crusader (12th century). Name means 'bright leader'.
  1. Teias, inspired by King of Italy (6th century). Name means 'strength'.
  1. Cairell, inspired by King of Ulaid (5th century). Name means 'victorious'.
  1. Duarte, inspired by Count of Oropesa and Deleytosa (17th century). Name means 'guardian'.

I agree that I see Rowan as a girl’s name.
I like Rory or Kit, not Kai.

Nosetickle · 28/03/2022 21:14

I like Rory and Rowan.
