I quite like it, it’s a late 90s noughties name isn’t it. Lots of them in early 20s

ineedsun · 19/03/2022 21:53

At the university I work in, it’s so hard to remember who’s who because we have so many Georgia / Georgina / Georgie variations. Nice name, very popular.

AnnaSW1 · 19/03/2022 22:01

I like it but prefer Georgette

WeasilyPleased · 19/03/2022 22:09

I love all these George names but can't use personally because with our surname it sounds like a bulldog chewing a toffee.

Mumofgirls2017 · 20/03/2022 07:06

Never liked it, sounds ugly to me and feels a bit dated now. All the Georgia’s I’ve known have been cool though

Snoods · 20/03/2022 07:10

Love it. I know one Georgia who is now a mummy herself. Super hard working lady and an amazing mum. So I associate the name with her personality obviously

SallyWD · 20/03/2022 07:43

I've always loved it and prefer it to Georgina

Giggorata · 20/03/2022 09:30

I like the name and again, prefer it to Georgina or Georgiana.

AHungryCaterpillar · 20/03/2022 11:11

Hate it but then I really hate the name George despite it's popularity always thought it sounded ugly.

LittleGwyneth · 21/03/2022 16:53

I would probably do Georgiana and use it as a nn, but I like all the George names.

Pinkychilla · 21/03/2022 16:54

I love it, I think it's a beautiful name

RobertSmithsLipstick · 21/03/2022 16:56

It's always been one of my favourite names, and it reminds me of someone I used to know, who was a beautiful free spirit, with dark shiny, messy hair.. I love it.

3peassuit · 21/03/2022 17:00

There were quite a few a them around in the 90s. It’s probably due a come back. Nice name.

Arucanafeather · 21/03/2022 17:05

@Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin

I like it but in my part of the world it is often pronounced Jawja if that makes sense and l even know someone who spells is Jorja which l cannot stand
I love the spelling Jorja. Would have used the name myself if a close family member hadn’t already.
Jossbow · 22/03/2022 09:25

Jorja has the same Origins in terms of spelling, as Freja has. Norse origins

When Freya first came to popularity, it was oftern spelled with a J, Now its almost always a Y

DaffodilDandilion · 22/03/2022 09:31

Depends somewhat on your accent. If pronounced Jawja it sounds horrible but Jorgia is quite pretty

HomeHomeInTheRange · 22/03/2022 09:42

I love it.

CollyFleur · 22/03/2022 09:47

It sounds a little bit 1980s chavvy to me.
Prefer Georgie.

Ditzyduck · 22/03/2022 10:47

I have a teenage Georgia who most of the time just gets called George always has done from a baby . My best friend her Georgia calls herself Geo or G . I still really like it but I gave her a pretty girlie middle name .

BennyTheWonderDog · 22/03/2022 10:48

I like it.I used to love it but it's a bit over-used now. Like PP I prefer Georgina.
