Love the name but feel it's a bit too popular, DD1 is Etta any ideas for DD2? Thank you!

Do you want another E?

Esther or Ellen?

Bagelsandbrie · 15/03/2022 07:33

Something that doesn’t begin with the same initial….? I’ve said it before on other threads but once they get older there’ll be arguments about opening each other’s post.

I like Edith though I know that’s a very marmite name here

RealRaymondReddington · 15/03/2022 17:43

Edie is so beautiful though!
Maybe Maeve, Mary, Ada, Maude, Polly.

GinniMcGinface · 15/03/2022 17:44

Elodie:-)

mamaduckbone · 15/03/2022 18:11

I would have had an Edie if ds2 had been a girl - it's not at all popular where I live. If you love it you should use it.
Otherwise:

Ivy
Eve
Ida

I actually know Edie and Etta siblings with a sister called Ida.

DefaultParent · 15/03/2022 18:21

Eden?

yourestandingonmyneck · 15/03/2022 18:37

I wouldn't say it's particularly popular, is it?

I only know one, age 1, and I'd never heard of it until then. It sounds a bit nicknamey to me - I would have assured short for Edith or Eden.

The one I know has a sister called Sophie.

Luredbyapomegranate · 15/03/2022 20:03

I think Edith nn Edie is great, but I wouldn’t use it as a full name. It’s not that popular is it? Also like the German form Edita - Dita for short?

otherwise Stella, Clara, Aphra, Amy, Jocelyn, Zelda, Lois, Frances, Cleo, Juno, Oona, Nancy, Margot, Ellen, Esther, Georgia, Dora, Catrin, Astrid, Ida, Dorothy nn Dora or Dorey, Verity, Constance nn Connie, Sarah nn Sadie, Annis, Thora
