Middle Names for Beau

Please can I have no negative comments, I know names aren't always everybody's cup of tea but they are what we like and don't want to be disheartened so close to my due date Smile

So far we are rather stuck between the three names so any (positive) opinions please help us out!

1.) Beau
So far is the strongest contender, we have no ideas for a middle name as of yet to go with this one so if anybody has any suggestions please help!

2.) Jace
We like Jace Albie, this is my partners favourite.

3.) Theo
Two hesitations -
1.) My little boys name is Ted, are these names too similar considering they are both 'nicknames' for Theodore ?
2.) There are two Theo's who go to football with my little boy, alongside another Theo in his class and a Theo in my daughters class. I know the popularity of a name shouldn't sway my opinion, just wondering would this push you away from using the name?

Personally, I find names like Albie and Beau quite "cutesie" and I can't imagine a young man with these names. I love Jace though! Very unique, none around where I am up North :)

KirstenBlest · 11/03/2022 20:21

Theo is very popular and has been for years. It won't show high up in the charts because many of them will have Theodore on the BC.

Beau is not to my taste at all, and I'd use Jason shortened to Jace

PumpkinHenri · 11/03/2022 20:22

I love Beau! My little boy has a friend named Beau and it really suits him. Don’t love Jace, reminds me of a problematic vlogging family’s boy… and sounds like the shortening of Jason.

krazykatzlady · 11/03/2022 20:27

Beau is the nicest.
Jace makes me think of teen mom, and Theo too popular.
I'd go for something like Ellis, Aiden, Edward for middle name.

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 11/03/2022 20:28

I like Beau! How about

Beau Arthur
Beau Alexander
Beau Vincent
Beau Edward
Beau Lawrence

I think it needs a strong multi syllable middle name to work. There is however no good shorter nicknames for Beau so you’d need to be quite confident it was THE name

Luredbyapomegranate · 11/03/2022 22:41

I like Beau. It’s quite gentle so I’d give him something solid in the middle eg Beau Arthur, Beau Theodore, Beau Gabriel, Beau Matthias etc

Theo is nice but there are a billion of them and yes maybe a bit close to Ted

I know you said no negative comments but OP, please don’t call him Jace! It’s up there with Jayden and Ryan, it will Not Help Him in Life, tell your DH to get a grip.

Mumofgirls2017 · 11/03/2022 22:42

Theo too close. Not a fan of Jace. Go for Beau

Beau Alexander
Beau Harrison
Beau Daniel
Beau Isaac
Beau Jenson
Beau Dominic
Beau William
Beau Oliver
Beau Theodore
Beau Elliott
Beau Sebastian

DaffodilDandilion · 11/03/2022 22:43

Beau Thai

KirstenBlest · 11/03/2022 22:46

Beau Tadhg is nice
Beau Joe
Beau Rhys

Aquamarine1029 · 11/03/2022 22:46

I love Beau.

Beau Martin
Beau Joseph
Beau Michael
Beau Hudson
Beau Lucas

ladygindiva · 11/03/2022 22:51

I like Beau, don't like Jace. It sounds like a nn for Jason. I love Theo but it is VERY popular where I live.

ladygindiva · 11/03/2022 22:52

Beau Alexander
Beau Edward
Something classic like those would go well

Hoppinggreen · 11/03/2022 22:54

The only time I have heard Jace it was short for Jason
Beau is a bit American and means handsome so could be a bit tricky
Love Theo but I can see it’s a bit similar to Ted

Rosieposie101 · 11/03/2022 22:55

Jace is horrible and I also thought it was a girl's name? I know a little girl Jace. Albie is sickly and insubstatial. Both names cheapen Beau as they're too cutesy, weak and faddy. I don't like Jace Albie at all.

I'd choose Beau Theodore if you like Theo and Beau Theo sort of rhymes.

I think Beau sounds much better with a longer, stronger name like Benjamin or Alexander.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 11/03/2022 22:55

@DaffodilDandilion

Beau Thai
Grin
Babdoc · 11/03/2022 23:00

Beau Legg
Beau Nydol
Beau Tox

inappropriateraspberry · 11/03/2022 23:09

Isn't Jace short for Jason?
Theo and Ted would be confusing.
Agree that Beau would need a strong middle name - but not keen on it personally

RoseMartha · 11/03/2022 23:10

I like Beau

Beau Jonathan
Beau Lysander
Beau Robert

ImInStealthMode · 11/03/2022 23:11

Personally, I find names like Albie and Beau quite "cutesie" and I can't imagine a young man with these names

I know a Beau in his mid-30s and it suits him very well.

It's my favourite of the lot OP.

StScholastica · 11/03/2022 23:16

Beau Ne Em

TenThousandSpoons · 11/03/2022 23:20

Theo is lovely but too close to Ted.
Jace is AWFUL. Really bad.
I like Beau.

maeveiscurious · 12/03/2022 10:26
