Which do you like best?

Lisa, Lily, Elise, Mia, Ella, Ellie?

Lily & Elise are my favourites Smile

aintnospringchicken · 04/03/2022 10:44

Lily and Ellie

Comedycook · 04/03/2022 10:45

Like them all except Lisa and Lily. Lisa is too dated and lily is too popular for me

KylieCharlene · 04/03/2022 10:50

Mia- yes, it's quite popular but it is lovely and suits all ages imo.
Definitely not the overused 'E' names.
Lily is OK but extremely popular.
Lisa is very dated.

OnOnBike · 04/03/2022 10:57

Mhm, Lisa not so popular, which I sort of expected.

We really like Mia but worry about the Mia(ow) sound, I know it's stupid, also love Lily but it's ridiculously popular.

Is Ellie also a bit dated?

I like Elise best. We chose it as my daughter's middle name.

I don't think Elise is over used at all. I think it's a lovely elegant name, which suits both a child and adult.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 04/03/2022 11:01

I actually would pick Lisa from your list, the others are all massively popular at the moment. Lisa is likely to be the only Lisa in her class

Fl0w3ry · 04/03/2022 11:07

Lily and Ella are the nicest names.
I think Ellie and Lisa sound a bit dated. I know a few adults with those names and none of them are very nice people. That might be clouding my judgement.

marshmallowhearts · 04/03/2022 11:09

I don’t mind Lisa but don’t love it. If you also like Elise, what about Elisa?

OnOnBike · 04/03/2022 11:11

I like Elisa. How would you pronounce it, Eleesa or Elissa (if that makes sense)?

SweetNcrunchy · 04/03/2022 11:27

Elise is gorgeous. Much more elegant than Elisa and Elsie which are similar but overused.

Lily, Mia, Ella & Ellie are all "nice" but a bit boring. You ask someone their baby's name and hear that and its pretty unremarkable, you don't exclaim, "What a lovely name!"

Lisa though..... If you dare, it could be great! Like people calling their boy Paul, its one of the same kind of 80s names that seems to be creeping back in.

What about that singer who's called Lissa? That's pretty and more unusual.

Sisisimone · 04/03/2022 11:33

I love Elise. Also like Alyssa which is similar.
Ella and Ellie were really very popular a few years ago, not really keen on them
Mia is ok but a bit boring. Don't like Lily.
I like the name Lisa, it's pretty. I know a few Lisa's all born in the 1970s. It's probably due a comeback

Happenchance · 04/03/2022 11:49

Elise. I also like Elisa.

Justkeeppedaling · 04/03/2022 11:51

Lisa may be dated, but I like it, and it's the only one of your list that isn't also the name of almost every other girl child born over the last couple of years.

BurningBenches · 04/03/2022 11:55

I love Lisa, it was on my list along with clare, Joanna, Susannah, Laura. I'm an 80s kid and have lots of lovely friends called Lisa.

The others are nice but popular.

StopForAMinute · 04/03/2022 12:01

I like Lily and Ella best.

RuthW · 04/03/2022 12:24

I only like Lisa from that list.

Rosieposie101 · 04/03/2022 15:10

Only like Elise

schnubbins · 04/03/2022 15:13

Lisa is lovely .Lily is my least favourite.

DramaAlpaca · 04/03/2022 15:14

I only like Lily and Elise.

Kitkat151 · 04/03/2022 15:18

Lily

StopThe · 04/03/2022 15:20

Ella is the best of the list by a long way.

FlippyMcFlippyPancakeFace · 04/03/2022 16:35

I love Lisa but it is very dated. I know a Leeza, which is similar and more modern.

Elise is also lovely.

Alicia 'ah-lee see-ah' is very pretty too, though I think some people will pronounce it as 'ah-lee-sha'.

ThatsNotMyGolem · 04/03/2022 17:10

I love Lisa!

CoastalWave · 04/03/2022 17:12

Love Lisa!
