I would love a third middle name for Arthur - so far we have Arthur George xxx and surname is two syllable starting in T - normal English name. I think a 3 syllable name like Arthur George Montague or Arthur George William sounds best. Do you like these or do you have any other ideas? Thank you. X

Lancelot!

Of those two options I prefer Montague. Arthur George William is very 'classic', and so quite dull to me. Benedict or Felix might also appeal.

Luredbyapomegranate · 03/03/2022 19:55

Montague is fab, before I read it I was thinking Montgomery, otherwise Josiah, Isambard, Horacio, Lysander, Raphael, Augustus, Dashiell, Barnabas are all good - or something more popular like Alistair, Benedict, Zachariah

William is a bit dull after Arthur and George - a bit of flamboyance is good.

Arthur George Nathaniel
Arthur George Gregory
Arthur George Benjamin
Arthur George Rufus
Arthur George Taliesin
Arthur George Hamish
Arthur George Samuel

Is there a family name you could use? Four names is a bit much imo unless there is a compelling reason! But what do I know, my children don't have middle names!

HomeHomeInTheRange · 03/03/2022 20:02

Surely the only reason to have so many names is that you have names that you love or that mean something.

If nothing is seeming like a ‘oooh, love that name we HAVE to have it’ then just don’t have one. Your child will thank you! And Arthur George is a very fine name!

Keeping it kingly

Arthur George Alexander
Arthur George Darius
Arthur George Richard
Arthur George Philip (consort, but still)
Arthur George David
Arthur George Henry
Arthur George Julius (caesar but...)
Arthur George Aethelstan
Arthur George Augustus
Or maybe Arthur George Kingsley

I think Joseph flows really well. Personally I wouldn't have 3 syllables with 3 names as it'll make it a mouthful.

Zillamop · 04/03/2022 09:09

Arthur George Malachi
Arthur George Solomon
Arthur George Dominic
Arthur George Christopher
Arthur George Francis
Arthur George Damian
Arthur George Orlando
Arthur George Octavian

I think swapping the two middles could work too, so Arthur Malachi George, Arthur Dominic George etc.

CarriMarie · 04/03/2022 11:03

Arthur George Stanley? Or Arthur Stanley George flows even better.

Happenchance · 04/03/2022 11:11

Arthur George Gideon

My sons have my surname as their second middle name (they have my husband's surname as their surname). Is that a possibility for you?

lubellabee · 04/03/2022 16:18

Thanks for all of your help! We chose Montague as it is special to us and meaningful. My other son has two middle family names so I wanted them to have the same x
