Theo and Leo

I have a son called Theo, can I use the name Leo as a middle name for my second son? Obviously they are so similar I'd never do both as a first name, but can I use such a similar name to DS1s first name as DS2s middle name? Very different first names and DS1 middle name is also nothing like either name.

I suppose. Not like middle names are ever really used!

SirChenjins · 28/02/2022 13:25

Yes, of course! No-one ever uses middle names.

nearlyspringyay · 28/02/2022 13:26

As above when does anyone use a middle name?!

BendingSpoons · 28/02/2022 13:33

Yes you can

Theo Peter and David Leo don't sound similar and they will be Theo and David to most people.

(Obviously other names made up)

StopForAMinute · 28/02/2022 13:56

Yes. I think that's fine.

TeenPlusCat · 28/02/2022 13:59

I think it's fine. Great names.

As an aside, when I was little we used to go for a walk to the postbox. There was a house with 2 stylised lions at the front gates, which we called (no idea why) Leo and Theo.

Many people don't even have middle names. In other words they never get used.

bloominglovelyorange · 28/02/2022 14:48

Yes fine

RosiePosieDozy · 28/02/2022 14:51

Yes of course. Both lovely names and they won't be Theo and Leo, they will be Theo and [other name].

Luredbyapomegranate · 28/02/2022 15:34

Fine for the middle - or you could go for Leon.

Zillamop · 28/02/2022 16:19

Yes, it's fine.
