Brother for Freya

Need some help with a name for a baby boy. We already have a girl, Freya. OH likes the name Ray as it’s his late Grandad’s name. I like the name but not sure if it’s a bit similar to Freya and would sound silly when saying them together? We could have Ray as the middle name but then struggling for a first name! Would appreciate thoughts and any other potential names that go with Freya.

Ray is too similar sounding though. (I am also not sure it’s ready for revival yet, it’s very dated - and I think it needs to be Raymond, as a full name.)

I like the name Ray/Raymond but it is too similar sounding to Freya IMO.

I agree Freya and Ray are too similar. I actually know two Freya’s who go by the nickname Ray, so if her friends start to call her that you will have two children called Ray!
How about Jasper, Felix, Rowan, Seth, Silas or Nicolas? I think they all have a similar vibe to Freya.

I think you can get away with Freya and Ray - if you really like it the slight matchiness doesn’t need to be a deal breaker. But perhaps not the ideal combination. I think someone else suggested Magnus Ray which i think is good in combination with Freya (I’m in Scotland though so Magnus is commonish)!

Ray is too close to Freya in sound - a bit of a tongue twister when you say both of them!
