All lovely, not sure about Jad and Joud. The others are timeless.

Eileen101 · 27/02/2022 02:40

Azaan and Aylan are lovely.

Another vote for Aylan and Azaan. Lovely names.

Dinoteeth · 27/02/2022 04:27

I've never come across any of them, but I maybe wouldn't use Jad, as it could be mistaken for girls name Jade.
The rest are clearly non-English names.

Although I'd maybe wonder is Aylan has the same root as Scottish name Alan / Allan.

Elspethelf · 27/02/2022 06:17

From your list Azaan is my favorite. How do you pronounce Kais? My husband is Arabic and I’m always on the look out for more names to add to my list :)

Kanaloa · 27/02/2022 06:20

I really like Aylan. It’s lovely. I also like Joud but I think there is potential for it to be misheard as Jude.

Well of course they’re non-English? The title is asking about ‘Arabic baby boy names.’ If I’d opened it and seen the names Thomas, James, and Oliver I’d be confused.
alexdgr8 · 27/02/2022 06:24

the last two are the best, and work best in english speaking country.
good luck.

Feather12 · 27/02/2022 06:25

I like Azhar from your list. What about Zulfiqar/Zulfukhar? I know a Zulfukhar and he is the most delightful boy, so I am biased, but it is an excellent name (he goes by Zee)

Synchrony · 27/02/2022 08:07

My favourite is Azhar. I like the A names on your list. I'm not sure how to pronounce Kais (K-ice? K-eye-sh?)

Dinoteeth · 27/02/2022 08:11

@Kanaloa
I was trying to be helpful to the Op and give her a view of how they'd be viewed in RL by people who've never come across them before.

Frightmare · 27/02/2022 08:39

I like Jad the best. I doubt it would be mistaken for Jade.

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/02/2022 12:48

Azaan
Or otherwise Aylan
I like Joud also - but it might get spelt Jude a lot!

I’d avoid Kais and Jad as in the UK they bring to mind what some teachers call naughty boy names

Azhar - nothing wrong with it, just works less well in English

LouisRenault · 27/02/2022 13:04

I like them all, but Aylan would be my choice.

Shainago · 27/02/2022 17:32

Thank you. I really like the name! Very unique and pretty. But my husband doesn't like nicknames so he doesn't want a name that can be easily shortened. Had to remove Zacharia from the list! 😡😂

Azaan is my least favourite as the focus is it being call to prayer more than the actual meaning.

Jad is lovely, Kais is my favourite especially as it has many meanings and they’re all great things, strong, wise, just.

Nomorechange · 27/02/2022 17:39

Aylan is absolutely gorgeous.

Daydreamsinsantafe · 27/02/2022 17:44

I’ve always known it to be spelt Qais? Beautiful name. Reminds me of a very suave, handsome man I know.

I know lots of Amjads. Trying to count in my head but definitely over 10!

Daydreamsinsantafe · 27/02/2022 17:45

Correction, said man is actually called Qais. Didn’t read that way!

R0tational · 27/02/2022 17:46

Azhar and Kais would be mispronounced a lot but I still love Kais/Qais.
Love Amjad. Haven't heard of Jad. Is it 'Jaad'? I usee to like Jawad actually.
Keep Zacharia - it doesnt have to be shortened after all.
Congrats on the newbie.
