Which one do you prefer?

Giuliano with nickname Giulio!

Ellmau · 26/02/2022 15:38

I like Giuliano more, but it might be trickier for the Englsish to pronounce.

BeefSupreme · 26/02/2022 15:40

Giuliano

Sorry, makes me think of Rudy Giuliani

Me too.

Giulio

Is that July in Italian? I know Julio is not that rare in Spain. I'm Irish and I can figure out without a word of Italian that it's Joo-lee-o

I do think think that joo-lee-an-o might make it look too long for some people though. Hardly any difference but they might be more intimidated having a go at it because it looks longer?

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 27/02/2022 20:11

Giulio

Be warned that it will be universally misspelled as Guilio.

Eucalyptusbee · 27/02/2022 20:14

Giuliano Star

Geamhradh · 28/02/2022 12:21

Giulio.
Giuliano is Little Giulio and a bit drippy tbh.

The Italian for July is Luglio.

Giulio is definitely a boy’s name! I think my preference is Giulio of the two.

demoness · 28/02/2022 16:47

Giulio is the equivalent of "Julius" in Italian, and Giuliano is the equivalent of "Julian". Correct?

I think both would unfortunately get misspelled in Britain but they're nice names. I'd pick Giulio.

PlanetNormal · 28/02/2022 18:53

I know a Giuliano. He’s a great guy from a Calabrian family who speak Italian at home. Everyone calls him Jules.

Agreed
