I don't like Jeremy for a boy and wouldn't use it for a girl for any reason.

Of your girl's names I like Arabella the best. Don't dislike any of them but they all have a very different feel.

monsterpup · 24/02/2022 00:52

Could you use Jemima instead of Jeremy?

Arabella is my favourite, April instead of Avril?

DramaAlpaca · 24/02/2022 00:52

I only like Arabella.

Jeremy is odd to use for a girl, sorry. Jemima instead, maybe?

monsterpup · 24/02/2022 00:54

Or Jermya ?

SageRosemary · 24/02/2022 01:19

Avril is lovely.

How about Jeremina or Jerelyn for a middle name?

Rosieposie101 · 24/02/2022 04:14

I only like Arabella. You can't use Jeremy as a middle name for a girl! Agree go for Jemima (Jem is a nickname for Jeremy).

Arabella Jemima Hedges is very classy. Kylie, Nevaeh are the opposite of classy and Avril is just a little dull.

Mumofgirls2017 · 24/02/2022 07:30

Arabella for sure

Pamlar · 24/02/2022 07:45

I would choose Arabella Jem.
It still honours your grandfather. Jeremy is very dated and imo not one of those names that is cool for a girl. Even as a middle name, I wouldn't use it.

ISmellBurnings · 24/02/2022 07:53

Nevaeh is just terrible.

KylieCharlene · 24/02/2022 07:57

Arabella - and use Jasmine in place of Jeremy.
Arabella Jasmine is lovely.
In the kindest way, OP, it's quite likely your dear Grandfather would think you nuts for using his name for your dd- as lovely as the sentiment is.

BuyDirt · 24/02/2022 08:03

I think Arabella is the nicest from your list. I don’t really like naming kids after others, and using a name that is usually for males, just to get it in there, seems unfair on the child. It’s not even a nice sounding name.

Comedycook · 24/02/2022 08:05

Arabella is the nicest imo

Then Avril

Nevaeh is awful

Kylie is a random choice...not sure if I love it or hate it

Synchrony · 24/02/2022 08:07

I think Kylie and Jeremy is too many ee sounds.

I don't like Nevaeh and would probably choose something more conventional if paired with Jeremy (unless you are in America where I believe it's more common?)

So Avril or Arabella.

I don't love boys names on girls but if girls can be called James why not Jeremy as a middle name. It'll hardly be used anyway.

KirstenBlest · 24/02/2022 16:02

Avril and Nevaeh are awful, Kylie is dated.

Arabella is ok but I wouldn't choose it

Jeremy is a bit different as a middle name, but hey why not

StopForAMinute · 24/02/2022 16:37

I like Avril and Arabella.

Aquamarine1029 · 24/02/2022 16:38

Nevaeh is just absolutely awful.

babyjellyfish · 24/02/2022 17:27

I think this is a pisstake. Grin

Zillamop · 24/02/2022 17:42
Hmm
KirstenBlest · 24/02/2022 17:43

You could spell Jeremy as Jérémie to make it look less masculine

Ellyoctober · 24/02/2022 17:45

Congrats on your pregnancy!

When do you need to make a decision by?

Jem or Jemma or Jemima or is a lovely nod to your grandfather

Luredbyapomegranate · 24/02/2022 23:27

Avril or Arabella - both nice, Arabella more popular. Jemima rather than Jeremy in the middle (assuming you live in the UK, your daughter won’t thank you.)

Nevaeh really is treated as a joke name, and Kylie also to a large extent. Either of them will me an affliction. People shouldn’t judge people on their names, but they do. Don’t use them.

Luredbyapomegranate · 24/02/2022 23:28

@babyjellyfish

I think this is a pisstake. Grin
I think you MIGHT be right.
DogsAndGin · 02/03/2022 19:28

Kylie - chav name
Avril - old lady name
Nevaeh - ultimate chav name
Arabella - nice!

You can’t have her middle name as Jeremy. She’ll get teased. It’s bad enough as a boy’s name, but for a girl! Surely not Confused

LittleGwyneth · 02/03/2022 21:50

I like pp's suggestion of Jem rather than Jeremy. It's a legit nickname for Jeremy and a very sweet nickname.
