What is Chloe like? Small, neat, a bit fussy. I think i knew her. She could equally voluptuous, wild, unruly.

I like it. It means young green shoot & symbolises fertility, new growth, spring time etc. From Wikipedia: "The common scientific prefix chloro- (e.g. chlorine and chloroplast) derives from the same Greek root. "

Not keen on Chloe but it's just personal preference. Theres nothing wrong with it, I just find it a bit dated and uninspiring.

Feels more like a mum name than a baby name now but there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s pretty sounding and well known.

Chloe feels very dated to me. It's one of those names (like Jessica, Emma Hannah, Abigail) that I'm always a little surprised are still in the top hundred.

I do like the name Chloe, it’s pretty but very common. I definitely went to school with a lot of them ( I’m in my 20s)

I used to love it... maybe 10 years ago... now I think it's ok but a bit meh. Dated perhaps.

And I know someone with a Chloe who pronounces the 'wee' bit a bit too obviously so maybe that's what's put me off!!

I like Chloe - I like the way it looks as well as sounds.

It’s a well known name but less popular now than it was so you won’t find many other children their age with the name

blubells No, if it has anything, it has two dots over the 'e'. The dots are called a diaeresis and show that two letters, side by side, that would often be pronounced as one sound (here, 'oe', as in 'toe' or 'Joe') should be pronounced separately: Chlo-ee.

But many/most people don't use the two dots these days.
