First thought was Stergene laundry liquid I'm afraid.

I've never heard of this name before. Where is it from and how is it pronounced?

Shmithecat2 · 13/02/2022 22:41

First thought was sturgeon (fish). Are you Greek?

saraclara · 13/02/2022 22:41

@Zillamop

First thought was Stergene laundry liquid I'm afraid.
Same.

What's wrong with Sergio?

Abrakatabra · 13/02/2022 22:43

It would be pronounced as "ster" like stereo and then "gio" like Giorgio the Italian name.

Yes, we have Greek origin.

I have a cousin called Sergis - not sure I like your version.

Luredbyapomegranate · 14/02/2022 08:59

A word starting with Ster as the association of a cleaning product in the UK (to me anyway), or the fish. So no.

Sounds like a brand of caviar
