Hi, what does everyone think of the name Bobbi? (girl)

Would you spell it Bobbi/Bobbie/Bobby?

Thanks!

I've known a girl named Bobbi, spelled that way. I think it's lovely really cute and suited her.

RedCandyApple · 12/02/2022 14:59

My female cat is called bobby

SallyWD · 12/02/2022 15:06

I'd use it as a nickname for Roberta. I wouldn't want Bobbi on the birth certificate personally.

Cindie943811A · 12/02/2022 15:09

The Bobbie I know has Roberta on her birth certificate.
At least give your daughter the option when she is an adult.

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 12/02/2022 15:24

Bobbie is too twee. Bobbi if you have to but as others are saying I’d go for a longer name on her birth certificate.

IsadoraQuagmire · 12/02/2022 15:40

I know 2 people called Bobbi, both short for Barbara.

blameitonthecaffeine · 12/02/2022 16:09

I think it's cute and like the spelling Bobbi.

But I don't like Roberta and not sure I would want Bobbi as a standalone name. I think it needs to be a diminutive but not sure what else for.

Robyn, possibly?

Mundra · 12/02/2022 16:12

I think it's lovely, but would spell it Bobbie.

TatianaBis · 12/02/2022 16:25

A friend of mine is called Bobby and her name is Rosalind.

I dislike names ending in i - it's very 80s.

EwanHoozami · 12/02/2022 16:38

Spinal Tap

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/02/2022 17:25

Bobbie

Prefer it if short for Robin or Roberta.

It really is a nn

Ohyesiam · 12/02/2022 17:41

Great nickname, but she will need a proper name too

Plump82 · 12/02/2022 17:45

I love it and would keep it to Bobbi and not short got anything.

Plump82 · 12/02/2022 17:45

*for anything

sadpapercourtesan · 12/02/2022 17:46

I'd spell it Bobby, and if I used it it would be short for Roberta or Robyn.

Goooglebox · 12/02/2022 17:46

No

AnnieMay55 · 12/02/2022 17:54

I have a friend called Bobby now in her 70s and short for Roberta. I also taught a 4 year old Bobby a few years ago who was just named Bobby not a nn.

TatianaBis · 12/02/2022 17:56

I like the name Roberta and it's unusual these days.

TreasuredMim · 12/02/2022 18:19

No - twee; cutsie; dog's name; Country and Western singer.

MinglingFlamingo · 12/02/2022 19:06

I love Roberta and i do like Bobby/ Bobbie as a nm. I love the Railway Children

Meandthesky · 12/02/2022 19:16

Much too twee on its own

I like Robyn as suggested by a PP so you could use it as a nickname for that

Fivebeanchilli · 12/02/2022 19:16

I think Bobbi looks really odd and 80s.
I would use Bobbie but only with Roberta or Robyn on the BC.

TimePoliceTeam236 · 12/02/2022 19:24

I agree with the i ending being too 80s, Nikki, Danni, Kati, Jacki, ha we all did it.
Bobby definitely better.

AtillatheHun · 12/02/2022 19:28

Bobbie Mc Gee!

CambsAlways · 12/02/2022 21:37

Love it Bobbi
