What are your thoughts on this name? DH really likes it but cannot seem to love it myself.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hate it sorry

Maireas · 12/02/2022 14:13

It's ok, you could shorten it to Frank, which is quite nice.
I'd avoid it if your surname is Mint, though!

Diamondbabe · 12/02/2022 14:16

We have a Frank and get lots of compliments on it :)

I personally prefer just Frank but husband really loves Franklin and which I just cannot fall in love with. Sounds very American to me

I absolutely love it. I know two locally, both around the same age, but just a coincidence I think according to the low name stats. Both are called Frank as a nickname, likewise for the Francis that I know.

DramaAlpaca · 12/02/2022 14:19

Sorry, but to me Franklin is a very unattractive name, as is Frank.

UserBot9to5 · 12/02/2022 14:23

I prefer Francis myself. Irish here, so Francis would be more my ''culture''. I like Frankie though. Franklin sounds like a big dog to be. Not sure why I have that association.

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/02/2022 17:27

I quite like it.
He will end up being called Frank so you could call him Francis as a full name if you prefer

Cam2020 · 12/02/2022 17:44

I immediately think of Roosevelt.

HadaVerde · 12/02/2022 17:47

I love it.

V American sounding which I don’t usually like, I think it’s cute but would also transition well to adulthood.

Pixilicious · 12/02/2022 17:59

Not my personal taste but perfectly fine.

MartinMartinMarti · 12/02/2022 18:06

I don’t like it, but it’s much more important that YOU don’t love it.

Find something you do (both) love!

Zillamop · 12/02/2022 18:25

It sounds like a perfectly good boys name followed by a girls name. Frank-Lynne.
