I think Bobby and Teddie might be a bit much. I like Oscar and I think it goes nicely with both Theodora and Teddie.

GeorgieRose1234 · 08/02/2022 21:08

Love that actually they do. Oscar and Teddie

LOVE Finn & Theodora 😍 the NN is adorable too!

ThatPosterIsSoRight · 08/02/2022 21:12

Finn and Theodora - I’d just be careful where you live. Where I’m from they’d be Finn and Feodora (although Teddie avoids the issue)

SleepingStandingUp · 08/02/2022 21:19

I like Teddie and Finn

What about Finley?

Rosieposie101 · 09/02/2022 08:08

Oscar and Theodora are lovely together 😍

Fivemoreminutes1 · 09/02/2022 09:15

I like all your names. Finn Rose is a bit too short and blunt though, and I know a girl called Bobbie-Rose so, IMO it’s too feminine

AliceMcK · 09/02/2022 09:23

Bobbie and Theodora (Teddy) Rose

Also like Finn, I’ve always loved Finbar, but that’s the Irish in me.

Africa2go · 09/02/2022 09:29

Think Bobby and Teddie is too much, prefer Oscar. Just be careful, Teddie (or Ted for a boy) is hugely popular (Teddy / Edward / Theodore all in the top 30ish) and you might end up with multiple baby friends / classmates with the same name.

HeadlessGummyBears · 13/02/2022 23:08

Theodora Rose sounds lovely.

Oscar and Finn are great choices, but personally would go for Finley and have Finn as a nickname.

Other name suggestions for boys:
Alexander
Benjamin
Christopher
David
Elliot
Felix
Henry
Hugo
Jacob
James
Matthew
Noah
Robert
Sebastian
Thomas

Your surname is very feminine (but beautiful). So for example Bobby Rose is not great at all for a boy. Also Finn Rose is too short, you need at least 2 syllables name. Oscar Rose much better.
Theodora da is a lovey name too.

Kite22 · 14/02/2022 15:49

I like all your boys' names but agree with others.

I think Bobby Rose sounds like a double barrelled girls' first name. Shame, as I like the name Bobby as a shortening for Robert.

There is something about having 2 x single syllable names that sounds a bit like you are barking an instruction, which puts me off Finn a little.

I don't like 'Teddie Rose' though, it sounds like something a marketing company came up with for a doll, or a colour chart or something.

irishfarmer · 14/02/2022 16:01

I like those names.

For Bobby though I would go with Robert nn Bobby

PP suggested Finbar is good name, I also really like Fiacra

Theodora Rose is beautiful but immediately I was like I know that name, Theodore Roosevelt, very loosely similar don't know why I thought of it!

Abrakatabra · 14/02/2022 16:29

I think with Rose surname you need a very very very masculine name and at least a strong 2 syllable one.

I'd love an Alexander Rose or Theodore Rose or Harrison Rose.

For the girl Theodora is not my taste, sorry. Teddie is a bit frilly... Teddie Rose is too much! And a bit unisex as well when you listen to the name, as "Teddy" (although different spelling) is also an Edward.

Dislike Bobby with your surname. Bobby is slang for penis in some parts of the UK. If you're raising a child in the UK 'Bobby Rose' could have unfortunate connotations.

I like Finn and Oscar don't like Theodora.

Wisemensay · 16/02/2022 07:24

Theodore is fab. I'd go with Finley nn Finn for a boy. They go lovely together.

Wisemensay · 16/02/2022 07:38

Theodora
