Middle name for Indigo

So with your help I think we've decided on Indigo for our baby if she is a girl.
I'm wondering what to put with it? Should we go classic to give her a back up 'safer' option?
She will have two middle names as both my other DC do, and one middle name has to be Mary.
So Indigo Mary Something or Indigo something Mary.
I quite like Rose as Indigo Rose is lovely, but Rose and Mary don't really work together I don't think.
Please no negativity on Indigo, we feel really happy about it and have been going round in circles for ages!

Well, for your comment that Mary and Rose dont go together, one way they make a perfectly acceptable name (Rosemary) and the other, they make the name of a famous ship (Henry VIII's Mary Rose) so I think they go together fine, in either combination!

I dont normally contribute to name threads as it is all so individual. I do think though that with Indigo and Mary you might opt for something with one syllable for the third name. Just so it is not too much of a mouthful.

Could you do Marie instead of Mary? If it ends up being shortened to Indy, Indy Marie flows....

I personally wouldn’t use a name that is also a noun (eg Lily, River, Fern) straight after a colour hence I wouldn’t go for Indigo Rose - sounds like you are describing the colour of the rose! Indigo Mary is pretty and Rose would work as the second middle name.

I wouldn't put Rose as it's another colour, and you're right, it doesn't go with Mary. Mary is lovely btw and sounds great next to Indigo. Trips off the tongue.

I like the idea of 3 syllables, 2 then 1 syllable name.

I would put the second middle name in-between Indigo and Mary. Mary is slang for vagina, so Indigo Mary makes me think of Blue Waffle disease.

The only thing that put me off indigo Mary Rose was the ship the Mary Rose, but maybe that's not an issue!

Indigo is quite a spiritual name/ colour, and has meanings such as intuituon, wisdom, healing. What about going full hippy and calling her something like Indigo Moon, rather than marry it up with something mainstream?

That's the first thing I thought of! But I'm old enough to have watched it being brought to the surface, at school on an ancient TV! It was obviously a very novel experience because I don't remember much of my childhood but I remember that.
