Wondering what everyone's thoughts are on naming your daughter the same name as an old friend?
It's a very unique name and DH and I love it. There's only so many names we can both agree on!

Go for it! Unless you are going to make a new name up you are likely to know people with the name you choose. It's better to use one you like rather than an obscure one nobody you know has.

Of course! How could she be anything but flattered?

Absolutely fine

I’d go for it unless it’s your very best friend that you see all the time… if it’s an old friend that you’re still in touch with but don’t see each other often then yes I’d do it:)

Fl0w3ry · 03/02/2022 15:17

I would do it and make sure the old friend is one of the first to be told the baby’s name. I think your friend will likely feel honoured.

Hightemp · 03/02/2022 15:46

Don’t hesitate…your friend will be so honoured.

Ceramide · 03/02/2022 17:42

I think your friend will be pleased Smile

Sure.

I’m sure they’ll be flattered.
