Can anyone remind me of the website to check how many children that year have been named a certain name?
I have no idea if this makes any sense but hopefully someone knows what I’m talking about 😆🤞🏼

Babies called Thea in England & Wales since 1996 (darkgreener.com) (out of date)
Babies' First Names | National Records of Scotland (nrscotland.gov.uk)

@Dinogir
Bear in mind that the figures are only for Thea and don't include Theodora, Dorothea, Thea-Rose etc.
Theo and Theodore are very popular.

If you want to look up an individual name, dark greener.

If you want to look up an individual year, the Office for National Statistics have a spreadsheet for every year since about 1996 (up until 2022, 2023 data isn't available yet). You can then use the different tabs and search functions if you wish to search for a specific name.

I use both regularly as they're great for different things. As I said, dark greener is great if you want to check the popularity of a certain name through the years, ONS is great if you want to search what was popular in a certain year.

Dark Greener gets it's stats from the ONS. It's a collection of official data from England and Wales so won't help if you're searching for data from other countries.

Just realised this is a random Zombie thread, sorry. Why to people bump things from ages ago to ask a question rather than starting their own thread?
