DH is Greek and we are loving this for baby girl, most likely to be shortened to Callie

Opinions?

Ooh we are considering Calista/o for ours. Love Cal/Callie. Calistenia sounds cool although made me think of callisthenics. If your DH is Greek then all the more reason to go for it!

Calistenia is pretty but somehow sounds a bit "much" for me - but maybe that's because it's so rare and I need to get used to it? I don't dislike it but do prefer simpler Calista (Callie), or star linked Cassiopeia (Cassie/Cassia) if you want a 5 syllable BC name.

Haven’t heard of it before but it’s pretty.
Love Callisto too.

I also thought callesthenics (sp?) then read more carefully.
Nice name.
But if a mouthful? For non Greek speakers?

Luredbyapomegranate · 19/01/2022 21:28

It’s pretty, if a mouthful - but you have an obvious and nice short form lined up, so I’d go for it.

Too fussy for me. Callista maybe?

Caneloalvarez · 19/01/2022 21:48

It's gorgeous! I really wouldn't worry about it being "too much" especially if you're in a diverse/Greek area.. either way I'd say go for it! Callie is lovely too
