We have a shortlist of names and can't decide which! What are your thoughts on:

Mia
Clara
Una
Alannah
Grace

Mia - like, but prefer similar sounding Nia and Thea.
Clara - bit prim
Una - like. Nina? Luna?
Alannah - bit 90s, Lara? Leila?
Grace - dull

Mia - I've always loved this name.
Clara - I prefer just Claire
Una - not keen
Alannah - not keen
Grace - the only girls i know called Grace are annoying so that puts me off

Mia - way too overused.
Clara - don't like it. Sounds stern
Una - nice
Alannah - nice but will be mispronounced as Alarna
Grace - ok but doesn't sound nice in all accents

I love the name Grace but it needs to be followed by a name with two syllables.

Oona all the way, but spelt like that - massively underused name.

Otherwise Clara is nice

Grace overused, Mia overused and undistinguished, Alannah just makes me think of the 70s, for some reason.

OP this is spooky! My first thought when I read the intro line of your post ( before I opened it and saw the names you listed) was Alannah! I was going to suggest it then saw you had it listed as a favourite!

I think it is a beautiful name and not commonly used 🙂

Grace - classic but very common

I found it interesting that all these names you considered were quite different from each other.

Mia - I always see this as a nickname of the name Maria.
Clara - Love it.
Una - No. Its a 70s name. I know three Una's and none of them like their name.
Alannah - Only if her father/Grandfather is named Alan.
Grace - Its a nice name but there are so many of them.
