Sooooo we're currently expecting our second and aren't finding out if we're having a boy or girl. We already have DS Ralph (pronounced 'rafe'). We'll be thinking about names soon and would like to start with family names, but I'm curious what you lot have to say. Our surname is two-syllable French. Go!

The Ralph I know has a sister called Sophia. They are both utterly lovely children.

We have a two syllable French name and we have a Hugo. I think its ease of spelling is a plus.

I loved Ralph as a potential name for DD so these are a few others I liked:

Lara
Louisa
Serena
Alice
Erin

Michael
Jude
Patrick

Aww hanks everyone, so great suggestions here! Some that were on our list last time, she me I would never have thought of. @Rangoon, some our best friends have a Hugo, it's a lovely name, but probably out for that reason.

I have that 'it's a boy' feeling (which I had last time too, but I know it's ridiculous) so I keep just thinking of boys names. Quite glad to see our top girls name from last time continues to be rare, and hasn't been suggested...yet!

Margot sounds lovely with it.
