Anson?

I heard this boys name today and think it’s nice, has anyone heard of it before or is it a made up name?

It’s a surname but if you like it go with it!

Sounds Dutch maybe? It's not Anglophone.

Oh - there was an actor and it had some popularity in the 70's.

Read it as Arson at first glance.

One of my friends has a son called Anson.
There was also Anson Williams, one of the actors in Happy Days.

It's the name of a local rough as fuck pub so for that reason I'm out.

I work with one, I think it's lovely and unusual.

It does sound a bit like Hanson pronounced by someone who drops their H.
