Would you avoid giving B.E.G as initials? It's not a great word, is it... or am I just overthinking things?

Sorry to say but BEG initials would put me off, but I’m a bit Funny about things like that. I’m sure lots of people will say it doesn’t matter though. Could you add a 2nd middle name?

SummaLuvin · 14/12/2021 17:22

I don't think it's the biggest deal, I would probably avoid it, but it's not like A.S.S or C.N.T or something worse.

OrangeAndYellowAndBlue · 14/12/2021 17:53

It's not the biggest deal, but I might avoid it if I had an alternative I was equally happy with (or give two middle names).

KirstenBlest · 14/12/2021 18:05

Just don't add Rose or you'll have BERG

Edenember · 14/12/2021 19:32

I wouldn’t want that, personally.

Elisemum · 14/12/2021 20:25

I don’t know … it wouldn’t really put me off. Kids never use middle names so his initials will always be BG. My sons initials are J.A.W :) and I never even noticed until he was couple months. Doesn’t bother me at all. If it was ASS or something offensive then yes I would avoid.

Wellington17 · 15/12/2021 09:23

I don't think it's terrible but would consider chucking another middle name in if it bothers you (which it obviously does a bit, as you've written the post).

FlamingoDust · 17/12/2021 11:39

I wouldn't do it!

CouncilHousedAndViolentBaby · 17/12/2021 16:24

I wouldn't incase they get called a beg 🙈

You’re overthinking it
