My kid gets called Evander as a nickname, I can’t get behind it as a full name although there is one locally. I just think Holyfield.

Lysander all the way. But then I'm a massive Jilly Copper fan - The man who made husbands jealous.

So you may have to assume women of a certain age will assume you named him after a JC character. This is a good thing

Leander is nice, although it's a sad story. Lysander as well.

Evander makes me think if Holyfield which is obviously quite a different vibe, despite actually being an ancient name.

Lysander is the most perfect boys name. I also like Evander and think Van is a cute nickname option. Leander is a bit meh to me, maybe because it merges with the very popular Leo.

Leander sounds like Leanne which gives it a 90s vibe and far more prone to misspelling than the other two.

Lysander is Greek Mythology, Spartan Military, Shakespeare. Much cooler.

DS1 would have been a Leander. Lovely name though a pain to shorten if you’re into shortening names. Lysander has “Ly” and Sandy at least. Though it also has Lice.
